Riviera 2 exploits every cliche about Cannes with dazzling visuals: sexy, beautiful bodies everywhere; casually initiated, hedonistic sexual encounters; the idle wealthy basking in the sun; gorgeous Mediterranean scenery; fancy sports cars; charming villas; impressive mansions; and European savoir-faire. On top of all that, Riviera 2 is chock full of sex. There is, of course, a dark side to all this easygoing sexual frolic under the sun. Incestuous overtones (one hetero threesome suggests that the daughter and her friend service the father) move the plot along. Aside from the dubbing, the sex scenes (mostly b/g and some b/g/g) are well done, and the picture for the outdoor scenes is especially sharp. Lush cinematography, primetime soap opera Dynasty style and production value, plus the nicer side of nasty Euro sex make Riviera 2 a great couples film.
