Creative and compelling camerawork coupled with hot hot Hungarian bodies, a dry sense of humour, and interesting, mostly European locales make 1997's The Lecher 1 a winner. John Leslie plays a bumbling, mumbling lecher, who finds lovely women, caresses their bodies with his camera lens and his hand, and then shoot them in compromising positions. Between scenes, Leslie appears, speaking non-sequiturs, telling open-ended stories, and smoking cigarettes in a run-down room. He mumbles about wanting to find these bitches by themselves, and play with them a little, but mourns that they always seem to wanna fuck while I'm around. Perhaps, but the plight of the lecher is that he's unfuckable - he can only watch, dally a bit, and enjoy the view. Until the last scene, where Leslie gets a bitch to go down on him - only then does he allows himself to touch the crotches of the gals he's shooting.
