It's always a pleasure to run across a movie like Sex Star, a veritable diamond in the rough from 1984 - that one little film that succeeds far beyond your imagined expectations. Paul G Vatelli, the director who gave us the superb Bodies In Heat and Sex Games scores a triumph by eliciting excellent and very believable performances from all the actors in a film that plays like an inexpensively made gem. Sex Star chronicles the story of Danica Ray, a porn star who can't seem to get it up for her contracted lesbian scene. So she goes on holiday with friends Kimberly Carson and Herschel Savage, and really opens up sexually when seduced by the latter. Meanwhile, Steve scores with Kimberly Carson in a hot, visually interesting romp. Both female leads are sexually vibrant performers who make the most of their lithe bodies and above-average looks. You will like this film very much, mostly because it seems real and unpretentious. Watch Danica cut loose her inhibitions and erupt onscreen in some of the most scintillating female action ever filmed. Not to be outdone, however, the guys lend plenty of support, filling Danica's needs with their own brand of sexual healing.
