Five vignettes unfold in a fashion very similar to Pierre Woodman's other top-of-the-genre work: smooth camera work, colorful settings, flawless European flesh tones, and all of the friendly smiles that accompany his trademark porno idyll. All of the story lines in Hustler XXX 1 follow an instant-gratification pattern. Woodman paces the action at a believably natural speed, letting the different sexual techniques advance the plot. Eva and Claudia's skinny-dip under the falls easily moves into lesbian waters. Yahn, watching from the trees, sheds his voyeurism and introduces himself, triggering a threeway that moves into an anal on the rocks with no awkward turns. The overall temperature is casual by U.S. standards, and less messy. No grit, no fuss, no muss. The models, both male and female, display perfectly-toned limbs. One expects to find them all bronzed one day, standing in the foyer of Larry Flynt's private art gallery. Tasteful hardcore interludes.
