All American Girls from 1982, with its clever dialogue, well developed sex scenes, wry sense of humor, snappy editing and tremendous acting, is absolutely great and it's the type of film that every adult production aspires to become. All of the girls - Cassie Blake, Jacqueline Lorians, Jillian Nichols and Laura Lazare - have natural good looks and are exceedingly pleasant in their respective roles. The movie achieves preeminence despite a plot line that, on the surface, might seem typical. A group of girlfriends, all college sorority sisters, visit their college friend Caroline (Cassie Blake) in her castle in England. For her birthday gift, Caroline requests that each girl reveal their nastiest, most sensual carnal experience since graduation. So, in a series of hot flashbacks guaranteed to wet your palate, each girl is seen around the world. both literally and figuratively. Danielle (Jillian Nichols) and two Frenchmen break the international language barrier with a French roll in the hay. An appropriate European theme song adds the proper touch of authenticity. In Las Vegas, Maria (Carrie Sinclair) is on a gambling roll that's winning her thousands until her luck suddenly changes. She and Lady Worthington (Starr Wood) make a sex bet with a pit bosses and, of course, they lose. A wild five-way sexual extravaganza that includes a Dudley Moore look-alike, follows as they do it on the blackjack and roulette tables and on the floor. When Maria hits orgasm, the chips go flying. In New York, Shannon (K.C. Valentine) and Rebecca (Brandy O'Shea) visit Shannon's parents and interrupt a very staid violin recital by gang-banging a straight guy who could pass for Donald Sutherland. This scene is also the funniest in the film, providing lines like, "sit on my face and tell me that you love me." In Hong Kong, Angel (Joanna Storm), a stewardess by trade, meets up with Jade Link and her Australian boyfriend for some kinky sex in a massage parlor. There's plenty more, of course. Caroline visits a college professor in San Francisco who flunked her and tries to change his mind. He takes her out to lunch and she gives him head under the restaurant table while the rest of the patrons watch and applaud. One wonderfully erotic sequence has all the girls undressing and dressing again, but not without some lesbian touches, masturbation and the use of perfumes, crèmes and lipstick on the many voluptuous bodies. Why is All American Girls so terrific? Other than the obvious fact that the film achieves complete eroticism, it has humour (Diana, played by Jacqueline Lorians, meets Caroline's brother Charles and form a royal couple that's much better looking than the prince and princess), tremendous direction by Max Altman (his use of high angle and long shots give the English castle a real feel of royalty) and professional production values that don't deter from an exciting and well-conceived story. Best of all, All American Girls has that right proportion of sassy sex scenes: they're short and done with a touch of class. Classics are hard to find, and not too many adult films can be described this way. But here's a chance to see just how an adult film should be made! Cast: Brandy O'Shea, Copper Penny, Gina Gianetti, Jacqueline Lorians, Jade Leneer, Jane Kelton, Joanna Storm, Julienne Nichols, K.C. Valentine, Laura Lazare, Lynx Canon, Starr Wood, Others
